A double-sided reversible pendant featuring a beautiful Whitby Jet stone on one side and a lovely ammonite fossil stone on the other side.
Handmade in our Sheffield workshop, this pendant is crafted in hallmarked 925 silver and each 24mm stone has been selected and cut especially for this hexagonal design.
Our stones are 100% natural and therefore may differ slightly in pattern and colour from those in the photos. The pearls in the photograph are not included but a chain may be purchased separately.
Now a little bit about the stones…
Ammonites appeared in the fossil record about 240 million years ago and they barely survived several major extinction events. The last lineages disappeared 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous.
Jet Stone is an organic rock of wood material which has fossilized over time. Whitby Jet is highly prized for its silky sheen and is over 180 million years old.
