A vibrant blue Lapis Lazuli pendant in hallmarked sterling silver. Made in our Sheffield studio by jewellery designer Andrew Thomson. The hand cut stone is 13mm by 9mm and the pendant features a solid silver back which we can engrave for you if required.
As all stones are created naturally, each one is unique and may therefore vary from the image. However we guarantee they are of the highest quality and handpicked specifically for each design.
Please note that the chain in the photos is not included with the pendant but can be purchased separately.
Lapis Lazuli has been used in jewellery since ancient times. High quality lapis is prized for its intense blue colour and golden flecks of pyrite. Its name was derived from the Latin word 'lapis' meaning 'stone', and 'lazulum' which is related to the colour blue in many languages including the English word 'azure'; Italian 'azzurro'; Polish 'azur'; Spanish 'azur' and Romanian 'azuriu'.
